Having Ruminating Thoughts?

"When we resist change, it is called suffering"
-Pema Chödrön

We all are aware of how stressed most of us are since there's a lot of changes are happening around us. Getting used to the new way of being, sometimes with resistance and fear or other times with dissociation which can lead to mental and physical fatigue and burn out.

Usually when we are stressed and anxious, there’s a combination of thoughts and emotions associated with it.

The thoughts bring on feelings and emotions, feelings bring on more thoughts and the cycle goes on in a loop.

Our healing process includes our physical body, emotional body and psychological body, including paying attention and changing our thought patterns and beliefs.

The negative thoughts, beliefs and the stories we tell ourselves can bring on fear, shame, anxiety and self doubt.

When you have ruminating thoughts:

Our feelings are the compass that brings us home to self.

  • Observe your thoughts.

  • Write them down. It will help for the thoughts to be out of your head and onto the paper.

  • Do self enquiry of what is the emotion associated to the thought.

  • Is it the truth? Or it’s an old belief based on your childhood experiences where the adult around you used those statements regularly.

  • Change your patterns of behaviour and neural pathways. Replace the negative thoughts with positive ones.

Positive Affirmations that will help you:

My past does not define me.

My emotions do not reflect reality.

My body supports me.

I give myself permission to rest.

I am capable to be my own support system.

I am capable to re-parent myself.

This healthy reparenting allows us to undo unhealthy learnt patterns from our childhood and create a new healthy way of being and creating a healthy relationship with ourselves and our loved ones.

CranioSacral Therapy and Transformative Distant Healing helps delve deep within your emotions and beliefs. By working together we can explore your system. It can even bring up memories of what triggered the emotion to be imbalanced.
